Perhaps using the unit quaternions, instead of SO(3), will speed things up.) Nonetheless, a simple implementation that works slowly is better than a clever idea that doesn't work at all. :) | |

This post is very helpful -- I'll take a look at the book by Weeks and some of the terms you mention. Parameterization is a tricky matter. Stab(C) is a large group (S_4), so those elements could be quite large sets! | |
