However, as I wrote in my answer, it was very surprising to me to find that at least for large enough $n$ the quantity $M_n^{2/n^2}$ that I asked about cannot be approximated quite well by (let alone be written as) the logarithmic capacity $\exp\max_\mu E_\mu$, which latter coincides with the transfinite diameter, per goo.gl/SdOmVJ .
