May 27, 2015 at 18:09 comment added Daniel Loughran Actually the Tate conjecture only applies with rational coefficients whereas here you are working with integral coefficients, so it perhaps not so clear whether the Tate conjecture can be used.
May 27, 2015 at 17:31 comment added Daniel Loughran The surjectivity of $(\mathrm{CH}^i)^G \to (\mathrm{H}_{\mathrm{alg}}^{2i})^G$ is implied by the Tate conjecture. It is not clear to me whether this weaker statement is easier than the Tate conjecture in general, however.
