It reminds of the open question whether there is an embedding from $\mathbb{R}^k$ with the snowflaked metric $\lVert\cdot\rVert^{\alpha}$ (where $\alpha <1$) into $\mathbb{R}^n$ whenever $k/\alpha< n$.
