I wonder if you'd have any comments on the following variant: in the special case when $Y$ is affine and $\mathscr{A} = \bigoplus_{n \ge 0} \mathscr{L}^{\otimes n}$ for some line bundle $\mathscr{L}$ on $X$ with $\mathscr{L}^{\otimes n}$ generated by global sections for some $n > 0$, does my question admit a positive answer? I am trying to understand the beginning of the proof of 6.7/2 in "Neron models"; the proof opens with a couple of citations that don't justify the claims, as far as I can tell. | |
