Oct 16, 2014 at 1:44 comment added Ted Mao Thank you. Actually I wanted to define $V$ as the space spanned by $g\mapsto v_i$'s, and $W$ spanned by $g\mapsto f(gh)$, but I see what you mean. And it is a little surprising to me that most textbooks just claim $W\subset V$ instead of $W=V$.
