Jan 23, 2014 at 12:58 comment added Torsten Schoeneberg For a $p$-torsion module, $A[p] \cap pA = 0$ implies $A=A[p]$; this also settles one summand of the standard module. You should really do the rest yourself. Maybe I am unfair, but I feel uncomfortable about these seemingly related, not-too-hard questions about Iwasawa theory from several accounts.
