Dec 27, 2013 at 16:25 comment added David Handelman To continue from the comment, there are a lot more references, including more recent work by Skau, Giordano (separately and together). If you can't find them, send me an e-mail ([email protected]) in about two weeks, when I get home, and I will supply all the details. Note that I corrected the matrix $A_n$ (and thanks to Ian Morris for the LaTex liturgy).
Dec 27, 2013 at 16:21 comment added David Handelman Hi. The standard references (unfortunately, I am on vacation in Toronto---think ice storm---so don't have complete details): Giordano, Putnam, and Skau (at least two papers early 1990s), and subsequently various combintations of the authors (principle result: (strong) orbit equivalence of minimal systems is classified by pointed dimension groups, and every simple dimension group appears). For dimension groups, an outline (oriented towards people in dynamics) showing the connection with Vershik's adic maps is given in the paper by Mike Boyle and me, Entropy vs orbit equivalence. out of charact

Dec 26, 2013 at 22:38 comment added Jairo Bochi David, could you provide some references? I'm not familiar with these concepts. BTW, I'm writing a paper where I'll probably need to mention the existence of such examples.
