Feb 3, 2010 at 17:06 comment added Mariano Suárez-Álvarez Martin, I would say that the argument is rather one based on historical evidente: if the concept were interesting, then we'd all have read about it in textbooks by now---sort of like Hawking's argument against time travel based on the fact that we apparently have no tourists from the future around.
