Aug 12, 2021 at 3:54 comment added Kapil I think one difference between writing an answer on Math Overflow and writing a technical report, research paper or book is that in the latter case, the intent should be that the explanation be fully understandable for a long time. On the other hand, on Math Overflow, the quickness of the answer is probably more important.
