Mar 9, 2013 at 20:22 comment added Mohan In this example, the curve $C$ and the line $l$ are not disjoint. For example, the point $(0,0,0,1)$ is on the line but also in $C$ since it is the image of $(0,1)\in\mathbb{P}^1$.
