What could help me would be good to know before starting my undergraduate studies to become a good mathematician?

First of all, I'm sorry if this isn't the kind of question that should be made in MathOverflow. I read the FAQ and I didn't consider this (that) inappropriate. I couldn't resist! People here are experts. All the experience here could help me.

I'm starting my undergraduate studies in september. I was studying computer science but I'm switching majors. Now I'm going to study mathematics. I don't want to graduate as soon as I canfail any class, while learning all I canand some recommendation from you would be useful.I feel

So I'd like I might fail, so I'm gathering information on how to not fail. You can help me by answering some ask two questions:

  • What would you have liked been good for you to know before starting studying mathematics about you started studying mathematics ?
  • What undergraduate courses are generally considered the most difficult, or what were the most difficult for you? Now that you have graduated, what do you think you should have done to make them less difficult?
  • If I wanted to start studying mathematics right now, assuming I didn't knowbasic calculus (differentiation, integration, series), where should I start?
  • Do
  • Is there something that you have any books did that helped you value learn the most?

Any that kind of advice is appreciated. Thank youthink are the best in what they teach? Something like the best analysis book for undergraduates you've read.
