This talk by Jinhyun Park connects a lot of interesting themes, making me curious to read more about that. Do you know where?

I would be curious to know more about the talk myself (more than the short abstract you link to). Anyway, my favourite reference for Hilbert's 3rd problem is Cartier's 1985 Bourbaki talk. It does mention links with algebraic K-theory, but it's 26 years old, so I hope somebody else knows more recent references. – Alex Oct 28 2011 at 13:05

It is likely that it has to do something with a combined relationship between scissors congruences and K-theory (arxiv.org/abs/1101.3833) as well as between K-theory and cyclic homology (via a trace map). – Tyler Lawson Oct 28 2011 at 16:31
Thanks! I guess it relates with: mathsci.kaist.ac.kr/~jinhyun/note/talk/… – Thomas Riepe Oct 28 2011 at 20:45
