Is there a concise reference for regular automorphic forms with an irreducible unitary representation? I'm particularly interested in how to compute the dimension of the space of cusps forms for Fuchsian groups of the first kind.
The only one I've found so far is D. Hejhal "The Selberg trace formula for PSL(2,R), Volume 2", which seems to deal with much more general problems than this.
