Correlation Matrix for clusters of geometrical points

I have two clusters of 2D points for which I wish to build a correlation matrix? What is the methodology for calculating the correlation between one point and another? I am not sure how to apply a correlation coefficient formula considering for each value in the data set I have two attributes.

Nigel, a correlation matrix consists of a matrix with entries $a_{m,n}$ that are the correlation coefficient of variables $v_m$ and $v_n$. You might have to restate your question so that it makes some more sense. What is your definition of what a correlation matrix is and how to build one? Is this homework?
