Hello,

I am looking for books on math and algorithms, but, I want it to be reeeeally easy going. Whenever I try to have a go at it and look up some books, I'm being flooded with all this mathematical lingo. So maybe what I am looking for is a book that shows the math, but also explains the symbols in the math.

Thanks!

Dear Benjamin: your question is outside of the scope of this website. (Please read the FAQ on what kinds of questions are discussed here.) You'll find much better answers to your question at math.stackexchange.com But do note that even there you may want to make your question more detailed and explicit (what is your mathematical background, what kind of books you are looking for, etc). – Willie Wong Dec 13 2010 at 16:18

MO welcomes precise reference requests, but I'm afraid yours is too vague. – Thierry Zell Dec 13 2010 at 16:22
try physics forums, the math section. "who wants to be a mathematician?" – roy smith Dec 13 2010 at 17:49
