hi I'm working on a problem where $\bf{X}=${$x_1,x_2,...,x_N$} has a multivariate hypergeometric distribution $p(\bf{X}=x)=\frac{\binom{N}{x_1}\binom{N}{x_2}\ldots\binom{N}{x_N}}{\binom{n}{T}}$.

I'm intersted on papers or books that deal with the probability of a certain type of vectors and order statistic of the k'th element or so...

You are going to have to be more specific about what you want... «a certain type of vectors» is not going to ring a lot of bells! –  Mariano Suárez-Alvarez Sep 27 '10 at 18:46

I am not sure what exactly I want but I only want to see what can I do to deal with these kind of problem. For example if I want the probability (or an upper bound of it) of choosing a vectors with the first 5 elements greater than 10. –  nahum Sep 28 '10 at 10:32
