If possible post a link to the book itself (if it is freely available online) or to its amazon or google books page.
http://mathoverflow.net/questions/23478/examples-of-common-false-beliefs-in-mathematics/23605#23605 Answer by person for Examples of common false beliefs in mathematics. person 2010-05-05T17:32:38Z 2010-05-05T17:32:38Z
Some people have trouble understanding that (and why is) 0.999... = 1
http://mathoverflow.net/questions/4527/is-it-that-only-with-normal-matrices-the-transition-matrix-to-its-del-inherent Is it that only with normal matrices, the transition matrix to its [del: inherent] [ins: own] basis is unitary? person 2009-11-07T14:21:49Z 2009-11-08T04:51:36Z
Does this even make sense what I translated into english?

PS. A lot of great books were recommended here and I guess what was suggested so far is more then enough for me to read... So at this point I don't really care about the policies at MathOverflow but my friendly advice is given in the preceding comment... And NO I'm not gonna create a new account for meta just for one post ¬_¬ http://mathoverflow.net/questions/761/undergraduate-level-math-books Comment by person person 2010-07-16T23:19:16Z 2010-07-16T23:19:16Z I don't have enough rep to rate anything and I only skimmed through the meta discussion but essentially what the mods did is bad for the website... Most websites start with one thing and then change their purpose by the will of the users... Otherwise they fail miserably as soon as some competition shows up... So the final judgment for closure "The system was created for people looking for precise answers to precise questions. Big list questions were an emergent phenomenon" is generally a flawed mindset. http://mathoverflow.net/questions/761/undergraduate-level-math-books Comment by person person 2010-07-14T00:05:09Z 2010-07-14T00:05:09Z :'( </3 :P shakes fist at 15 character length :/ http://mathoverflow.net/questions/4527/is-it-that-only-with-normal-matrices-the-transition-matrix-to-its-del-inherent/4530#4530 Comment by person person 2009-11-07T15:09:04Z 2009-11-07T15:09:04Z Hey thanks guys (both of you) :) But I have to delete the question eventually since I can't let my friend see I suck at math :PPP http://mathoverflow.net/questions/4527/is-it-that-only-with-normal-matrices-the-transition-matrix-to-its-del-inherent/4528#4528 Comment by person person 2009-11-07T14:52:58Z 2009-11-07T14:52:58Z Serbian: Da li je samo kod normalnih matrica matrica prelaska na svojstvenu bazu unitarna? http://mathoverflow.net/questions/4527/is-it-that-only-with-normal-matrices-the-transition-matrix-to-its-del-inherent/4528#4528 Comment by person person 2009-11-07T14:44:12Z 2009-11-07T14:44:12Z I don't really know what I'm asking...
