Here the Calabi-Yau manifold doesn't have to be compact or complete, it should be like a "germ" around the Riemannian manifold (like in Bryant's paper). Are there counterexamples ? What about the two-sphere, that Robert Bryant mentioned ?
http://mathoverflow.net/questions/90805/example-of-special-lagrangian-submanifold/90828#90828 Answer by peter h for example of special lagrangian submanifold peter h 2012-03-10T16:22:22Z 2012-03-10T16:22:22Z
@Robert Bryant: Actually I am considering the question: Are there examples of compact real analytic Riemannian manifolds that cannot be isometrically embedded as special lagrangian submanifolds of a (not necessary compact) Calabi-Yau manifold?
http://mathoverflow.net/questions/90805/example-of-special-lagrangian-submanifold/90828#90828 Comment by peter h peter h 2012-03-10T17:11:29Z 2012-03-10T17:11:29Z no not necessary, like in bryant's paper like a "germ" around the real manifold. is this possible for the 2-sphere, for example ??? http://mathoverflow.net/questions/90805/example-of-special-lagrangian-submanifold/90828#90828 Comment by peter h peter h 2012-03-10T17:09:53Z 2012-03-10T17:09:53Z or eaven in dimension 2 for the 2-sphere ? http://mathoverflow.net/questions/90805/example-of-special-lagrangian-submanifold/90828#90828 Comment by peter h peter h 2012-03-10T16:23:42Z 2012-03-10T16:23:42Z maybe in higher dimensions ???
