<p>I am in the process of teaching myself Abstract Algebra. I understand the technical definition that an isomorphism is an invertible homomorphism (a one-to-one correspondence).</p>
<p>It would be great if someone can give me an extremely simple example of a homorphism that is not isomorphic. Maybe a mapping that is surjective but not injective. </p>
